GEICO Honors Ashley Parker with 2007 Achievement Award

BUFFALO, N.Y., July 12, 2007 - GEICO is awarding Ashley Parker of Watertown, N.Y., a 2007 GEICO Achievement Award for her outstanding academic excellence and her valuable contributions to her campus and community. She is receiving one of five achievement awards of $500 issued by GEICO to students in the Buffalo area.

Parker is a business administration major concentrating in marketing and a coaching minor at Buffalo State College is planning to graduate in May, 2008. Parker is the captain of the women's lacrosse team, a member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and a member of the American Marketing Association.

GEICO has presented Achievement Awards to students from all over the country for their academic and extracurricular activities for over 20 years. This year GEICO will award over $60,000 in Achievement Awards to college sophomores or juniors based on his or her academic achievements and contributions to their campus and community. The GEICO awards will be used toward tuition and books for the fall 2007 semester.
